About Ken Dart

Kenneth Dart graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in mechanical engineering.  After graduating in 1976, he joined his family’s manufacturing business, Dart Container Corporation.  Since acquiring Solo Cup Company, Dart Container employs over 15,000 people in more than 45 facilities in 8 countries and is the world’s leading manufacturer of foam cups.  In addition to selling products to institutional distributors like U.S. Foodservice and Sysco, Dart provides products to national accounts such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Chick-Fil-A, Sonic, McDonald’s, and Burger King.  Dart products, under either the Dart name or private label, can also be purchased in warehouse clubs and grocery stores.

Ken Dart is also involved in recreational and commercial real estate development and retail operations in the United States, the Cayman Islands and other parts of the world.  Ken owns, and is on the Board of Directors of, Dart Enterprises, Dart Realty (Cayman), and Cayman Shores Development.  His companies in the Cayman Islands employ in excess of 500 employees.

Furthermore, Ken Dart serves on the Board of Directors of Dart NeuroScience and the Dart Foundation.
